Preparations Are On The Way

A day after tomorrow I am heading off to a week and half with the family. The weather forecast is promising sunshine, the bag packing is not even happening yet, but there are already plans for what to get at the airport (the usual massive Starbucks Latte, as well as a new lipstick, as always).

So, here, in preparation...

Boxed In

So I was supposed to go and watch a film today, walk around, enjoy the great outdoors and generally enjoy a day off for once.
Instead I overslept, and have spend the day indoors warding off the rain and trying to sort things out. Especially that damned shoe box above which I have on my dresser, which is crammed full of stuff that I have bought and chucked in. Any beautyhaul..that's where I usually lash it, and then forget it.

Ah, BeneFit and Smashbox.. nice. And may I say that for such a woman as myself, who isn't at all glittery or pink, the haul does look very girly indeed. Just look at the butterfly brooch in the picture of the box (from Primark, the source of all things sparkly and good)..damn damn damn, what did come over me (just you wait for the day when I take photos of all the other glittery stuff I have ;-) )?

Musings

I did a quick post on my other blog about feeling totally disjointed and somewhat directionless with the blogging.

Truth be told, I am not. I have a general idea what I want to blog about. Things about beauty, things about balancing being a student with working long hours. Of life in a city where all you seem to do is work and sleep. Of things that excite me.

I suppose that I do not want this blog to be my personal soap box. Yes, I want my opinions and feelings to come across clearly, and for any reader to get a picture about what kind of a person I am. But there are things I feel very strongly about, regarding sexuality especially - being a self-confessed kinkster as well as a volunteer for an HIV/AIDS organisation, I feel strongly about it. And I hope that I can study it further, to learn how some people tick. How I tick, I suppose.
But this blog I don't think is one to rant about things life that. I have another one for that, which I may or may not link to this blog.

But this one.. this will be my new baby. Visually better, hopefully more interesting, hopefully more coherent, hopefully more exciting. Hoping, hoping, hoping..
